FORMER governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy, AD, in Ondo State, Mr Akin Olowookere, yesterday, said he has no regret dropping his ambition for Olusola Oke, who just defected to the party.
Olowookere, who was accused of taking N5million from Oke before he let go his governorship ambition, however, denied collecting a dime from the former Legal Adviser of the PDP.
Olowookere, in a statement in Akure, said that “about a month ago, thousands of the good people of Ondo State approached me without the concept of Chief Olusola Oke, to let go of my ticket on the platform of AD for the choice of the electorates. They stated many reasons, that when it is the turn of Ondo Central Senatorial District that I will be considered as their top most priority. History is made by INEC, declaring the most suitable man for the job, Chief Olusola Oke.”
